The Pop Star Embraces a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Mockumentary Preview
Charli XCX is getting ready for a substantial film presence in 2026, kicking off with the satirical film titled The Moment.
In the film, she embodies what she calls as a dark version of her public image.
It’s the truest representation of the music business that I’ve ever witnessed, the performer commented.
She elaborated in a discussion: It’s far from a live performance documentary, but the idea came from the demand to make one.
A Sneak Peek into The Film
The debut trailer, released on Thursday, combines real clips from her live performances with fictionalized off-stage interactions.
The mockumentary is directed and co-written by Aidan Zamiri, who revealed that the narrative centers on a reality where the singer took completely different paths in the promotion of her smash hit album Brat.
