New England Equal Best Victory Run From Tom Brady Years with Triumph Over Jets

Rookie Henderson has scored five scores during the current campaign

New England equaled their longest winning run from the Brady period as they defeated AFC East rivals the Jets by 13 points in the NFL

First-year standout TreVeyon Henderson shone brightly with three scores as the New England squad claimed an eighth straight win for the initial occasion since iconic QB Tom Brady's final season with the team in 2019

Signal-caller Drake Maye accumulated 281 passing yards and a score, completing 25 of 34 passes

The triumph increases the Patriots lead at the top of the division as they improved to nine victories against two losses, with the Jets bottom after dropping to two victories and eight defeats

The Jets had scored first at Foxborough with quarterback Fields scoring a five-yard TD to conclude the Jets' opening drive

But the Patriots fought back in the second period as the rookie rushed for two seven-yard touchdowns before the ball carrier grabbed a reception from Drake Maye at the rear of the end zone midway through the third period to make it 21 to 7

"That was a big time for him delivering, and it's been great for him to keep gaining experience," Maye said of the rookie. "He aims to be great."

Fields threw to Metchie late in the third period to narrow the deficit for the visitors but Andy Borregales kicked a two field goals in the fourth quarter as the home side sealed the win
