Released Captives Say Prayers and Raise Glasses

Gil Dickmanâs cousin Carmel Gat was taken hostage on 7 October 2023, with her remains found in an underground passage in Gaza nearly a year after. He has been joining other captivesâ relatives in advocating for an agreement that brings the return of everyone still being held in Gaza.
âI canât quite believe this is actually happening. We have waited for such a long time and now itâs here,â he said.

Eitan Horn was taken from Nir Oz kibbutz in southern Israel along with his brother.
Cautious Optimism from Relatives
Dalia Cusnir, whose relative by marriage Eitan Horn remains captive in Gaza, said she felt like she was living âa dream stateâ.
âWeâre more than grateful to President Trump and everything he has accomplished on our behalf. It seems that this could be the start of the conclusion of this nightmare, and hugging Eitan feels closer than ever,â she commented.
But she cautioned that it was still too soon to celebrate.
âUntil the last hostage is here, weâre not opening the bubbly. We will continue struggling... until the end,â she affirmed.
âSo many things might occur until the last moment so this is why weâre being so, so careful. We simply wish to express gratitude to all who was involved in the work and make sure this deal is finalized... We shall rejoice only when the last captive is back home.â
Eitan was captured from kibbutz Nir Oz in southern Israel together with his sibling Iair, who was released from detainment through a truce agreement earlier in the year.
